Therapy for Anxiety
Are you constantly stressed, worried, and overwhelmed?
Do you feel like you just can’t relax?
Do you often find yourself spiraling and overthinking?
Do you have difficulty making decisions and trusting yourself?
Do you suffer from frequent headaches, stomachaches, or bodily tension?
Are you having panic attacks?
Do your worries keep you up at night?
Anxiety can feel deeply personal.
Perhaps you have a demanding job or multiple responsibilities, and needing to be consistently reliable without fail has led you to feel stressed, constantly on high alert, like you can never drop the ball. Maybe you feel pressure to be perfect and to appear “together,” but you’re really struggling inside.
Perhaps you’re contending with life’s relentless uncertainties and changes, and you’re trying your best to do the "right” thing, but you’re feeling exhausted and overwhelmed in the process.
You may be in the process of making a big decision or life transition, which can kick up all sort of difficult feelings, including worry and stress.
Maybe you have specific fears or phobias that limit you from living a full life. Maybe you’re suffering from panic attacks that make it impossible to just get through the day.
Maybe you have serious doubts or concerns about some aspect of your life, but you’re not sure who you can talk to about it.
Anxiety can make it difficult to enjoy life.
It can feel debilitating to struggle with anxiety, worry, and panic attacks. Anxiety is a common experience, but it can really get in the way of enjoying life.
When anxiety is in the driver’s seat, our lives can become small and diminished. Rather than being led by more expansive qualities — curiosity, purpose, possibility — it can feel like life just becomes about avoiding anxiety triggers with no chance to rest or catch a break. Sometimes during difficult seasons we just need to get through our days, but if you’re frequently having trouble enjoying your life because you’re always worried or stressed, therapy can help.
Anxiety is a very human experience.
Nearly everyone struggles with anxiety from time to time. No one goes through life without some experience of fear, worry, stress, or overwhelm. It’s part of the human condition. Roughly one-third of adults in the U.S. will experience an anxiety disorder at some point in their lives.
It’s understandable that anxiety is so common, given the stress of the world we’re living in. While some people only experience anxious feelings from time to time, others may suffer from more intense symptoms.
Anxiety comes in many different forms.
Anxiety can manifest in a range of different ways. Often anxiety will look to “hang its hat” anywhere it can. It’s not uncommon to experience Health Anxiety, Social Anxiety, Relationship Anxiety, and other forms of worry. You may suffer from panic attacks or other somatic symptoms. You may struggle with perfectionism, indecision, or fear of making a “wrong” choice. All of these can be manifestations of anxiety. And all of them can be addressed in therapy.
A life without anxiety is possible.
